Figaro

👀🐙 A VR puppetry tool built to dramatically speed up the production of 3D animation by allowing a puppeteer to single-handedly perform and record an entire scene.

I prototyped Figaro with Encyclopedia Pictura—a VR puppetry tool built to dramatically speed up 3D animation production. You can puppet creatures that would otherwise require multiple puppeteers. Performances are layered; it could be many takes—block the major motions in one pass, then refine or add characters in another.

It was fun!
